The Sino-Viking Trans-Atlantic Rowing Joint Venture adventure was an expensive undertaking. Without the generous support from the companies whose logos are displayed on this page it would not have succeeded.

Despite the project being unique it was not easy to get sponsorship – possible a number of companies pictured a capsized rowing boat on the front page of a newspaper clearly showing their logo with the headline “Atlantic rowers lost at sea”. After all neither Sun Haibin nor Christian were experienced rowers when they set out. Maybe others through they were frauds and were out to pocket the money for themselves.

Christian and Sun Haibin are therefore very grateful for the individuals and companies who stood by them, making their adventure dream and scholarship fundraising a reality. Through the project they raised US$90,120 for scholarships and US$25,238 (in cash and equipment) for race costs, totaling US$115,358.
